The School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences would like to welcome Drs. Rodrigo Franco-Cruz, Matthew Wiebe and Seth Harris.


Rodrigo Franco-Cruz joined the faculty in September, 2009 in the position of Redox Neurobiologist at the rank of Assistant Professor. He received his Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He then joined the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) after obtaining a postdoctoral fellowship. Dr. Franco-Cruz will provide research and teaching for the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

Seth Harris joined the faculty in August, 2009 as a Veterinary Diagnostic Pathologist at the rank of Assistant Professor. He received his D.V.M from Colorado State University in 2003 and spent the following six years working on a pathology residency and Ph.D. program at Washington State University.

Matthew Wiebe joined the faculty in July, 2009. He is the new Viral Immunologist at the rank of Assistant Professor. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Department of Pathology and Microbiology and the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Disease. He conducted his postdoctoral studies at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
