Veterinary Science Major
This major focuses on animal health. Students may choose from two options:
Biomedical sciences
Veterinary medicine
With this major students will be well prepared to apply to a veterinary college. Those who don't wish to become veterinarians can pursue careers in biomedical sciences or proceed to graduate school.

The veterinary technology major requires that students first earn an associate of applied science (AAS) degree in veterinary technology from an American Veterinary Medical Association accredited program and pass the Veterinary Technician National Licensing Exam in addition to completing the other requirements of this bachelor's degree program.
This program offers a broader education than is available in the AAS degree program. It's perfect for those who want additional education related to animal health, including technicians who want to apply to a professional veterinary program.

Commonly called "Pre-vet," this is a non-degree granting major. It is designed for students who are interested in going to veterinary school after completing their undergraduate degree.
Students who begin in Pre-vet obtain the educational background needed to meet the application requirements of veterinary college, regardless of their degree major. Pre-vet students commonly select a degree-granting major by the end of their second year of study. The most popular majors are veterinary science, animal science and fisheries and wildlife, but students can select other majors too.
