Since 1886 when the University of Nebraska hired a veterinarian to investigate animal diseases, veterinary discovery, teaching and outreach have helped the food animal industry improve and thrive here in Nebraska and throughout the world. For over 135 years we have remained committed to helping practicing veterinarians, livestock producers, and undergraduate, graduate and professional students succeed. We're successful because we're committed to science, high-quality instruction, and sharing information with those who need assistance.

Academic Program Review
In 2022, we embarked on an Academic Program Review (APR) as required by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Occurring every seven years, this is an outstanding opportunity for us to review our programs and achievements, and set goals to ensure we are growing and improving in ways that will benefit our diverse clientele. The APR process includes a self-study prepared by faculty, a site visit report from a knowledgeable review team comprised of individuals from outside and within the university, and a final report that serves as our guide for the next seven years.
