Research specialization/interest: Bikash's research focuses on immunopathogenesis studies on the Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV), a serious pathogen causing significant economic losses to the swine industry worldwide. Understanding the mechanism(s) of replication and pathogenesis of PRRSV is important in our attempt to develop safe and efficacious vaccine to treat PRRSV-induced diseases in pigs.
